Evening folk(s)...

Well...tomorrow's Friday. Know what that means? One week until payday! WOOT! Also...glad to hear the Rebels won their exhibition game this eve against UNA (91-62); HOTTY TODDY! Hopefully the basketball season will go much better than the football season has gone *fingers crossed*.

Anyways, some other good news. Seems I've got an interview next week with an ambulance service in Winona - MedStat. Those nerves are starting to get slightly jilted again, but I'm very excited 99.9%. What's that 0.1%, you ask? It's No-Shave November. I was HOPING to successfully get through the month of November without shaving my beard for once, but I got the call yesterday morning on my way home from work about the interview, and to be quite honest, I just COULDN'T pass up the opportunity. I spent over 16mo. trying to find a job with my BBAMIS, to no avail, acquire my EMT-B cert afterwards, and within 3-4mo. of graduating and getting my NREMT-B, I have a PRN position with one service and an interview (which I have great confidence in doing great in) for a second PRN job. Can't argue with that logic.

Another great thing to add to it: my partner for Tuesday's shift is "technically" the manager of the Macon, MS station (meaning she makes out the schedules), and since a couple of Basics/Drivers are leaving, she's going to give me some full-time hours (even though I'll still be PRN). SCHWEEEEEEEET!!!! Look forward to those full-time + over-time checks!

Alright. Enough about work. What else is going on in the world of Timmy?

The NCAA "Super Bowl" is this weekend - LSUx @ Bama - and I quite frankly have no idea who to cheer for, if I even care to cheer for either in the first place lol. Either way, I think it'll be an exciting game; and on top of that, I'll get to enjoy it with some good buds in Oxford, MS. Gosh, how I miss that town!

Well, sorry I don't really have much else to say...kind of been a slow week, with the exception given to a single 6hr call I worked Tuesday afternoon/eve, but that might just be for another story (you know...HIPAA laws. Gotta be careful with what I share).

So to end this evening's blog, I'll post a video of a song written by a group called This Will Destroy You. Don't worry. It's not some heavy metal song. It's more instrumental/post-rockish. It's really awesome; knows how to calm the nerves just right. Enjoy!

Will I ever get to yell "Hotty Toddy!" again?

How's it going, peoples? Hope your weekend is going well for you; mine seems pretty decent so far.

The party last night went pretty good. It was good seeing my bud Caleb again (he was the host). We've known each other for 11-12 years, and it's always good times when we're able to get together. Anyways, the party. The movie, of course, was really awesome, and the food was excellent. Chili made with chopped sirloin, some type of chili and tater-tot casserole, and a delicious spiced wassal (sp?).

I ended up being "lame" and just wore my work uniform, sans work shirt w/ company patches for good reasons, and went as an EMT last night. ... But the night was fun, and the candy was all over the place.

Today's been pretty good as well. I'm still in Oxford, and my other bro, Tyler and his wife, are letting me chill at their place (as I usually do when I come to town). Tyler and I have pretty much spent most of the day being guys, relaxing, playing video games. We went to the BBQ Shak here in town earlier this eve to watch the Ole Miss/Auburn game. Talk about an embarrassment. Oh well, win or lose, great season or sucks balls, I still love my Ole Miss Rebels.

Anyways, I think I'll end here, ladies and germs. Hotty Toddy!

Blaaaaaah...

G'afternoon/eve, reader(s)! Hope your day's been going fine so far. Mine's been pretty decent up to this point; still got the rest of the night to go, and I don't see the day changing much from the way it's been going, so I may not have much to say today. :P

So Halloween's coming up (my all-time favorite holiday of the year) and I honest have no idea what I'm going to be for the party I'm going to tomorrow night. It's been suggested that I could just throw on my work pants and boots w/ a polo, maybe wear my stethoscope around my neck (or in my pocket), and go as myself at work. Hmm...I might do that; those pants are pretty warm during these cold nights. Being a 5.11 Tact product (and $60+), they better be. I've also considered just doing what I did last year for Halloween: be lame and just where my normal street clothes with my Michael Myers mask. Even if I did go with the latter, I would end up taking it off 5min after I arrive. It's hotter than hell inside that thing! Anyways, one way or another, I need to do SOMETHING. We'll see...

So this party I'm going to. My bud and his wife are throwing this little...movie screening party, with plenty o' fun and spiked drinks poison (it IS Halloween). The movie they're screening is "Trick 'r Treat." I'm sure some of you have heard of it, but more than likely, most of you have not I'm guessing. I've seen it quite a few times, myself, and I highly recommend it as a fun, spooky Halloween movie. I won't discuss anything about it, I'll let you check it out yourself.

This is the cover art for the movie if you happen to have a Netflix account. Plus, it's available on Instant. It has it's moments of being cheesy, and it's graphic/gory in some ways, but again...IT'S HALLOWEEN!! :)
Anyways..... I really wish I could be pulling another 48hr shift here really soon, but instead, I'm just doing a 24hr shift on Nov. 1. They were looking for a driver to just cover that one day, and I REALLY need the cash and experience on the job, so I took it, of course. It's an hour and 40min drive down to the station in Macon, MS, but the paycheck will be worth it I'm sure. Hopefully, I can get another 24 or 48hr shift tagged along with it during the same pay period. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can add 72hrs to the 24hr shift *fingers crossed*. The joys of starting out PRN. Having no set hours suck, but hey, it's a job and I'm getting paid. It's a better deal than the unemployment I've had to deal with these past 17mo. :D.

Hmm...what to do for dinner? Well, my parents and I did the local Mexican place before they went to church, so I think I may just do up myself some pasta this eve while they're out doing their thing. I love cooking up some pasta dinners. Tonight, think I may do some pasta with meat sauce, seasoned with a touch of garlic, oregano, crushed red peppers, mix in some shredded chicken, and tiny bit of shredded cheddar cheese...for a tangy flavor and color. Shoot...I just love to cook everything. I find it fun, relaxing, and I get to experiment with different combinations of foods. Oh yeah, I'm definitely a keeper LOL.

And lastly, an upbeat, random song from back in the day (1998-2000 maybe). Takes me back to being 12 and 13.

Have a great rest of the day, people!

"On '3.' 1...2...5!" "That's '3,' sir." ... "3!!!"

Good evening, all (or whoever is reading this...and I suppose I should say good morning instead)!! Located here are the ramblings you will hopefully soon be reading, typed up by yours truly...if you can call me that, from the blue couch. Although, I suppose I should add that these are not literally coming from a blue couch. It's more like a khaki/beige colored couch, but there WAS a blue couch at one point in the past ("past" meaning 4 or 5 years ago). I suppose I could give a reason behind the whole "blue couch" business, but then why would I want to do that anyways? A select few and I understand the story with it, so we'll keep it that way, and let you make up your own story for the "blue couch." :)

Now to start. ... This here is basically just a little bit of an introduction about me (probably not great quality; I'm new to this whole blogging business). Here we go!

You guessed it! That's me...on my way to the gym. I'm an avid gym rat. The awesome beard has been shaved/trimmed since then.

To kick things off, I'm single, mid-20s, blue eyes (I heard ladies sometimes swoon for blue eyes) who is, as I have stated, "living my life day to day, and enjoying living it in the way I choose to live, as God allows me to." I'm currently living in Houlka, MS - a little bit of a modern-day "Mayberry" if you will; but not as much "may" and a little less "berry." However, I do plan on moving out soon...VERY soon, I hope.

My educational career includes an Associate of Arts in Accounting from Itawamba Community College; a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems (it's a mouthful to say), and a Minor in General Management; and most recently, an EMT-Basic Certification from Itawamba Community College.

I'm a very recent new employee - as in last Friday (October 21, 2011) - of Transcare Ambulance Service, serving as a PRN EMT-Basic/Driver with the Houston, Okolona, and Macon, MS stations whenever I'm needed. It's a job I'm very proud of doing. I ensure I offer the best BLS care I can give to my pts, and also ensuring the public is educated about EMS and what they can do to protect themselves; but mostly helping my pts. That always puts a big smile on my face when I help a pt, knowing I've done something good in a person's life. ... Alright, I think I've sold you enough on that.

I'm an extreme music lover. I can listen to just about anything, really; but I mostly enjoy classic rock, classical, metal (all types), techno/dance/trance/dubstep, and some rap here and there. As long as I can remember, music has ALWAYS been a big part of my life. I just cannot imagine not having the sound of music to listen to. I also play bass guitar, and am hoping to get a band started up soon with a friend of mine. He's already written some stuff that I find really great, and am excited about laying down some bass tracks to what he's done in the near future.

Aside from music, I'm also an avid movie viewer. I enjoy being able to relax and take in a good flick, alone or with a friend or special someone, just depends on the flick. Wouldn't want to watch "The Notebook" with a male buddy of mine. That'd just be...odd. :P

Well...I'm really not sure what else I can currently ramble about that would be about myself. This was basically just a little introduction of me to you, reader. And while it may not have been as insightful as I had wanted it to be, it is a little piece of me that you now know that you didn't before. That's to say though that you didn't...if you DON'T know me that is. ;)

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this, reader. I'm completely knew to the whole blogging business (unless you count Xanga from WAAAAAAY back in the day), just hang tight with me and hopefully I'll bring you higher quality blogs to you from yours truly.

Good night/morning to you, and pleasant dreams/have a great day!!

- Tim

Also, ladies...did I mention I'm single, mid-20s, BLUE eyes, and 6'2" (I'd be more than glad to grab those grocery items you're unable to reach off the top shelf for you). I did? Okay...just checking. :P
